I've had mine up to nearly 600 with oak pellets in the summer, but probably closer to 500 in the winter.

Thanks again guys. It looks like I've got buyer for P&S for $550. 600 degrees may not be a match for BGE but it will do some important work for bazeing roasts and getting medium rare steaks. That's the difference between a CS a comperable sized Traeger. Now I just have to finish the sale and get my dealer to special order the the 680. He doesn't stock them. Looks like'll be without a smoker for thanksgiving. Deep fried turkey again.
Happy Turkey Day to you all!

I sold my Pitts N Spitts. I got $550. Not as much as I wanted but not to bad for being 11 years old.
CS 680 shipped last week. I'm going Analog to start with. We don't have as much big swings in temperature in Dallas as a lot of the country. Cooked Ribs on my Brinkmann yesterday. I guess I needed one last battle so I'll know why I'm getting a pellet smoker. I won't call it a whipping because doing the Q always has some pluses.
