Good Stuff.
Last fall there was a "Love Fest" on the forum for Bolita Beans.
Just had to try them so I ordered up 6 lb and finally got around to cooking them.
My standard Pinto bean process.
2# of Bolitas.
3 Boxes of Beef Broth.
3 Medium onions.
2-3 # of Country Ham (I like a little beans with my ham 8) )
2 cans of Rotel Tomatoes.
Granulated Garlic.
I was told last fall that Bolitas were a bit sweeter than Pintos, cooked up quicker, and were "creamery" than Pintos.
All of this was true,
A definite improvement, but not a whole lot.
I truly enjoyed them and look forward to cooking the remaining 4#.
But, at 3 times the cost of Pintos I will not be restocking when they are gone.
Better for sure. Just not that much better.
BTW... No pics because they just look like Pintos and we all know what those look like 8)
