Live cook on the akorn
Made it home by 2:30 today and figured i make some ribs. Feeling a bit lazy so were rocking the akorn today even the the stickburner turns out some awesome ribs.
Now im far from kiss here so newbies just ignore this. We started with a frozen rack of Meijer spares trimmed down after a quick defrost. Slathered with hot sauce and rubbed with a combination of rubs containing salt, sugar, various chile powders, black pepper and cinnamon. Tossed them on at 3:30 and got the akorn settled in between 275-300 with a mix of used charcoal and cheery wood chunks. We've got a nice peach nectar-cider vinegar mixture to spritz with after an hour and a half or so. Ill be doing some other various wicked things during the cook so the squeamish may want to look away

Nice....Im firing up the Akorn this evening for some chicken wings ive got coated in olive oil and mexican chicken rub that are resting up b4 they hit the grill

Ok photobucket is acting stupid right meow and im having trouble uploading pics. Were gonna have to use some imagination here.
Wrapped the ribs in a mixture of peach nectar, brown sugar and honey, i mixed it all together forming a slurry and poured it on the foil. Added ribs meat side down. Abts on the cooker, finished up the lager and on to a summer ale. Kicked back in the zero G chair hanging with the cat. Bad Company is on the radio. Oh yea.......
