Well I decided to try my first brisket on the UDS this week while my family from Ohio were in town at our lake house. Always done pork shoulders with great success but wanted to give brisket a shot. Bought a 6 pound Choice Brisket Flat at Costco and seasoned with salt and pepper only. Cooked hot and fast at around 300 degrees for around 3 hours, wrapped in foil and finished in another 3 hours.
Rested 2 hours in a cooler, then sliced. One of the best briskets I have ever tasted. Enjoy the pictures.

Yep - honestly is my first brisket. I spent a lot of time on this forum reading about how different members have done briskets on their UDS. This site is a great resource and I have found it most useful.

Me too. I've learned a lot from our Brethren hanging out here.

Brisket looks great and you're absolutely right about this site being a great resource. It's helped me a lot.

That looks much better than my first brisket, for sure :thumb: nicely done

Hi Nice brisket on your 1st try. I'm here for 6 years and still CAN'T get a juicy flat.
