This thread rubs me the wrong way. Feels like an advertisement

i did, but i was hoping you'd tell us here so we wouldn't all have to go someplace else to find out. this is Q-talk, so it's OK to talk.

it was a different flavor for sure than anything I have experienced in BBQ.
Also it was versatile enough to use on stuff like popcorn, in eggs, soup and it came with a nice recipe for a bbq glaze

Mod Note: Thanks for looking out for us. Pigskin is not the producer of this rub. He is simply posting a link to his review. In the future is you think a post violates our rules please use the report post button to alert the mods and let us handle it.

Mod Note: Good point...

We have guidelines on posting links to other sites, including blogs.

http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45240

Basically, it's ok to post a link to information offsite, but include the information in the post to our members don't have to leave the site. If it is important enough to share, then post it here.

Also, we have rules specific to linking to blogs...

Bloggers:
  • A link to your blog is ok in your signature.
  • Posting requests to "Read My Blog", "Check out my Blog" "Go to my Blog", etc....is considered a gratuitous link/for the sake of promotion and will be removed.
  • If your blog contains something interesting, post a copy or preview in our forum and let the members decide if they want to link back to read it.

Thanks for the info and I will keep that in mind in the future.

Why, 11 months after your review of the product, are you now curious what we think about it? Self promotion then?

Mod Note:

Maybe you missed this,,,

This has already been covered with Pigskin.

To answer your question...
I joined the Brethren in April of last year, the same month I made this post.
At that time I wasn't active really on the site but as I have made connections and read updates on the forum I've seen the great info. So I decided to share and also spread the word about the products I've reviewed to help these small companies get exposure.

It's not about hits to my site and from now on I'll just copy and paste my review in a thread, this way it eliminates leaving the forum or guessing I'm looking for hits.

It's all about spreading the word about these products.
I've also reviewed Rufuas Teague, Desperado BBQ, Sassy BBQ, and Dimples BBQ. Plus I have several others upcoming.

deal! none us are opposed to the info, maybe just the way it felt like it was presented. i'd be glad to hear to say about the other products.
