First whole hog....

Heya gang.. I did a whole hog last weekend which was my first. Since Im new to this forum.. thought I would share my experience..
120lb pig live... from farm to table...

Piggy on the grate.... butterflied...seasoned rub on the belly... oil and salt on the skin. scored the skin to help heat/smoke get in...

about 2 hours in.... checked on the fuel (used KF charcaol and some cherry/mesquite chunks...

Nice job Mikey! LOL, poor piggy looks like he was crucified! I hope he didn't die in vane.

Looks GREAT!!! How'd everyone like it? One of these days i'll build a pit if i'm called upon to. ))

IMHO that's the best way to do a hog. It's been a few years since I've done one. May have to change that this winter.
