Heya gang.. I did a whole hog last weekend which was my first. Since Im new to this forum.. thought I would share my experience..
120lb pig live... from farm to table...

cinder block pit... based on Cowgirls blog.. (thanks again.. you should have come down)
Piggy on the grate.... butterflied...seasoned rub on the belly... oil and salt on the skin. scored the skin to help heat/smoke get in...
about 2 hours in.... checked on the fuel (used KF charcaol and some cherry/mesquite chunks...
all done... ready to carve!
