Default Phubar's Custom Chopped Po'k Chop 'n Potatoes au Gratin Pron

Phound out last week that my local butcher (5min. walk) closed down.
The previous butcher did business for at least 24 years...the recent one only for about 2 years.
I hope another butcher will take over the shop.

Yesterday I went to another butcher (10min. bicycle ride) to see if I can get the same service over there.
Been there one time to get horsemeat.
I asked them if I could get custom chopped meats over there and they said no problem...Pholks were very nice.

Also made a paprika/shallot/scallion salad...

That looks outstanding Phu! Was it a double chop? What kind of seasoning did you use on it?

You mentioned horse meat. Have you heard about the horsemeat scandal going on in England and Germany?

It was a double chop indeed Bruder.
Seasoned with some Montreal Steak seasoning, coarse sea salt and Todd's Dirt.

Haven't heard about the horse scandal in Germany and England but we do have our own little scandal right now.
A very populair restaurant in Amsterdam was caught selling horse beePhsteak as beePh.
The owner said that it was the Phault of the supplier but that isn't true...the owner knew what he was buying.
Phunny thing is I know the guy who supplied them...he's member of the Dutch Phorum.
5 days ago he was on TV explaining what happend.
Here is a pic of the meat supplier and me...

Great food Phubar!
All this thing of horsemeat scandal is strange for me in Italy...here the horsemeat is more expensive than the beef! Where is the convenience to substitute the beef?
Ciao, Gianni

Ciao, Gianni

Over here people eat little to no horse so horse is cheaper than beePh.

This thing will become an issue if you sell horsemeat as beePh and for beePh(ed) prices.

That's some good looking vittles right there! After seeing what you and Cowgirl and a few others dish out, makes me not want to post my little measly cooks. Always enjoy seeing what y'all got going.
