Default OK I fell for it....

Ok so I was in Sam's yesterday and over the loud-speaker I hear "Go to the Booth at the end of Isle 16 to receive your free Paring Knives", I just happened to be right by isle 16 so I go over there along with about 15 other people. It turns out to be a guy pimping new products that will be available in Sam's clubs. The product was "Forever Sharp Knives"...I must admit I was intrigued. I watched him slice a tomato like it was butter, then I watched him cut into the business end of a hammer, then watched him cut into a piece of wood, then I watched him slice through the same tomato using the same knife and it was just as sharp.

So I bit and I got three of the knives, 2 pairing knives, 1 boning knife and 2 "juicers" for $39.00...Then he also gave us 2 more cheaper pairing knives and a "Euro Chopper"...

I got everything home and check it all out and it seems to be pretty good, I haven't tested anything yet, but I say heck for $39 it's worth it...

Hmmmm......I need a good knife for cutting up hammers.

Seriously, a buddy of mine bought 4 sets of similar knives from a TV infomercial in the middle of the night. I was making fun of his insomnia over cocktails and for Christmas I got one of the sets as a gift. It has steak knives, slicers, a fillet and a cleaver thing. I have used them for years.

I've had them for about 2 years now, and use them all they time,, I actually go for the pairing knife when trimming ribs, works great. I'd say it was worth 39 for the whole set.

Thanks for the info...I feel a little better now that someone has also used them...I though I pretty much can't go wrong for $39 bucks.

But can it core a apple?

JK, sounds like a great deal and since my knife budget is scant, ........
