5 foot charcaol grill?
I am torn between which grill to purchase....any suggestions from anyone is appreciated. I am convinced it has to be a 5 foot, very portable unit.

Yoder has a 24"x48" charcoal grill. I know it's not 5', but they are a custom pit company, they may be able to make one.

I own one of these:
http://www.acemart.com/prod6123.html...FQyg4AodHS8AKg and it's sturdy as hell and works fine. I find only two problems with it: moving the grill to add more charcoal is a bit of an unwieldy operation, and while the unit is easily movable when the wheels are on it (and the wheels do go on and off easily, btw), I have a small truck and need to take the wheels off to load the grill into the cargo space, once the wheels are off, the weight of the thing makes loading and unloading it difficult for one person.

If you did a 5' grill I imagine it would go parallel with the trailer like their smokers, not perpendicular like above, but that's just a guess.

Finishing chicken mainly...some steaks, kabobs. But everyone wants chicken, chicken chicken. It's Luke a recurring nightmare, 200 thighs and drums seared on my little barrel grill.

I hear ya....they are not cheap. The meadow creeks are well built tanks! 12 gauge plate. It seems any job over 100 plate is worth the added grill space. I wish I would have known when I built the pit, I would have added a char griller

If you want something commercial grade that will take the abuse and last, check out
http://www.crownverity.com/products/...al-grill-BM-60 They became a sponsor of mine after I had bought their largest propane grill for the parties I throw. Everything they make is commercial grade. They aren't the cheapest out there, but the quality is worth the price if you want serious cooking equipment. If you are interested I can hook you up with a decent discount, like 35%, from the US sales manager who I work with as my contact at the company, just pm me with your contact info.

You might try looking at used restaurant equipment resellers. I actually got mine from a friend who is something of a "picker". He found 2 of them somewhere and sold them both to me for $350. I sold the other one for $250. The price falls a lot once they're used, and a can of Rustoleum hi-temp paint covers many sins.
