Default Another WSM meat hanger mod.

My first hanger worked great but it sat on top of the WSM rim and would not let the lid fully seat which I thought would be ok since that's how my BIL's run their drums. It ran rock solid at 295 but I had to close the top vent because of the extra draft created by the lid not being seated.

So onto hanger mod 2.0. First I was going to roll some steel and weld in the cross bars but I was pressed for time since I wanted it for the Musical TD and decided to burn it out of 1/2" hr plate.

Here it is in action, the lid was able to fully seat and give me perfect temperature control.

The Guru did help some with the temp control.

And the results were absolutely spectacular, this is the breast after about a 15 min rest.

That's a great mod! I'm sure more than a few folks would be interested in buying one.

Even better than my rebar circle w/ 2 cross bars idea. Great craftsmanship too.

If that is for your 22.5 WSM, it might work without much effort for a UDS.

For a source, try Googling "meat hooks".

I took a set of old metal skewers, cut, and bent them into meat hooks.
