Default Tailgate BBQ PIT?

Ok guys, along with my other post on help with the design of my 500gal. pit I intend to work on this winter. I am getting ready to build a tailgate grill/bbq for a business contact we have and I need some ideas and pics. I am going to start with a 250gal tank and I want to make this pit a direct/ indirect cooker. I will put the standard fire box on the end, but I am thinking a pull out charcoal tray under the grate. It can work as a heat diffuser for indirect cooking as well. I plan to incorporate cooler, wood and charcoal storage. Also a couple fish fry burners. What do you think? Thanks again guys.

be careful of where you mount the propane tanks in relationship to your firebox . If yyour tanks get to hot the will vent and venting propane next to a lit firebox will blow up your grill. This did have a few years ago at Morehead while tailgating.

I plan to put the firebox at the rear and the tanks on the front of the trailer. No other input on a duel heat source grill/smoker?

You might as well put a couple propane burners in your grill for cooking hamburgers. You will have to put air holes in the bottom so the burners will work. If you dont put the burners in you will need a ball valve on the bottom so you can drain the stuff after a good cleaning.
