Good luck this weekend everybody.

Weather report for the weekend is not pretty. I heard on the way in to work this morning there could be severe thunderstorms today/tonight with high winds and hail.

I'm hoping to get up to see y'all, but right now me maybe not so pretty sure.

Default Hope y'all are keeping safe!!

I just got off the phone with Pimpsmoke. Seems the weather in Westfield is pretty rough. We were ending our call just as the tornado sirens went off. Some kindly neighbors saved his canopy too. More storms moving through yet tonight.

I'm staying homne since I'm not cooking.

Keep Coz, Ron_L, Pimp, and all of the other Brethren in your prayers.

Good luck guys!

Just came home to put on some dry clothes. I know a few canopies were lost in the storm but it has blown thru so away we go.

That's a Harbormaster original recipe there. Nice to meet you.

A HUGE thanks to In Da Smoke BBQ, who saved our site. If not for them we would be hurtin and really wet.

Fun times, congrats to Coz and Smoke Syndicate, proud of everyone.

For a second, I thought you meant to say "brisket flat". Then I realized you were talking about Pimp's "brisket bacon". For anyone that hasn't tried it, he fries up the super fatty part of the point on top of his firebox. I'm pretty sure it's not low cal, but it's pretty tasty.
Congrats to the big men (bringin the heat)! Looking forward to hanging out with everyone again next week in Princeton. Looks like the Wyocena bandit's even gonna make it out to that one. Pete G.

Hmmm... That does sound good. I didn't get any of that. I guess it was too long a walk to bring your old bash buddy a piece, huh Pimp

Congrats to Coz and the crew! All we heard about on Friday night from Coz was how bad Coz was cooking this year. I think you were sandbaggin' a little, Coz

Even though the judges didn't like our food as much as we did we still had a nice weekend. The competition went off pretty well all things considered. For those who hadn't heard, the organizer quit a week before the competition! Fortunately Anita and Tony Moore, who ran Poorque earlier this year, stepped in at the last minute and pulled things together! Thanks, guys!

The storms on Friday evening were interesting. We stood under our EzUp holding it down (it was tied down pretty well, but I was paranoid). We could see the Fat Andy crew holding theirs down across the parking lot and PeteG walking back and forth with a bucket to get water to hold his EzUp down. Besides the near loss at Pimp Smoke the guys at QU Smokin' Crew lost two EzUps and Mike's new truck got scratched up by one of them.

Once that blew by it was a nice evening and we walked around with margaritas and made some new friends. It was good to meet Captain PJ for the first time and we got to know the gang at Rebel Fire Que'n Company better after meeting them at UP Hog Wild. We also spent some time around the fire pit with the Chef's Gone Grillin' and talked with them, Coz, Animal from QU, Anita and Tony and a few others. Overall it was a good weekend.

And that was how we spent our summer vacation (I just felt like I was doing a trip report for school )

Oh! I forgot about the highlight of the weekend! On Friday afternoon Dan from Brew-B-Que walked over and said "Can you come over to our spot and smell my butt?"

I'll let him explain...

Just got home. Big congrats to Coz and Smoke Syndicate. We had a great time but could have done without the heat and an interesting neighbor. I am starting to think that a competition in Wisconsin just wont be a comp without a storm. Like Ron said I thought we put out some of our better product but I guess I just dont know what the judges are looking for. We will be trying again next weekend. It was nice getting to meet some more brethren. See everyone in a week.
Andy
