Since I'm off today I thought today would be a good day to fire up ol' smoky and make a lil' something. Gotta 3lb chuckie with salt, pepper, and garlic rub, & a 5.5lb butt rubbed in a wasabi rub I got for Christmas from the wife. On a side note, I used my new digital thermometer to measure temp at grate level vs. what my drum thermometer reads. My drum thermometer is mounted 1/2" from bottom grate and extends halfway into the drum. My digital thermometer at grate level reads 225F while the drum thermometer reads 200F. I have checked both in boiling water and they are accurate within 1.5 degree. This prolly accounts for the food in the past that wouldn't pull as easy as it should.
