I think it is just the three of us that are in this years group.
While I don't always agree with Ford and Arlie
I do hope to serve on the BoD with both of them.

Ditto. Would be a bad thing is all members of the BOD agreed on eveything. But once a vote is taken it's time to get with the program and not stir up trouble and try to get around the vote.

Thanks for posting the reminder, Thom. I'll do my voting later today.

I'm studying candidates carefully looking for those who understand the function of a board of directors. That function is STRATEGY -- where are we going and how do we get there -- directors focus on major movements and representing the best interests of the association toward the end goal. Good directors understand that issues and disagreements are part of the process and that they are dealt with using candor and being collegial -- not by personal attacks and self-serving actions. As a member I am offended that we currently have some directors who don't understand what board service means. I'm hoping that the soon to be elected new directors will have vision, tact, and a desire to do what's best for the association.

My voting strategy starts with no incumbents. We get five new board members this year and four next year and if we can vote out all of the incumbents we'll have things turned over pretty quick. The good thing is there are plenty of good choices this year so pick four new ones and let's fix this thing.

I agree with Ray ~ it's time for a change! The current board is not effective, so let's get fresh talent in there.
