You are definitely going to have to refer to your smoker as a B(eautiful)DS. There is nothing ugly about it. Great work there Pappy! By the way, how is that ET732 working for you?

Shelf is made of plastic from a salvaged char-broil gasser. The radius fits the drum perfect. Has handles an a place for tools. The old gasser had a shelf on each side. I gave the other to "Huntin Smoke". He did the same thing on his 80 gallon vertical tank smoker.

It works great. I had a small problem making sure the temp reading was correct. I found out that ALL of the thermometers that I own were off and the ET-732 was only on that really works. Just 2 degrees high. I have never lost a signal. Saved a lot of time going to check the temps. I can work in the garage, cut the grass, watch TV, take a nap and I don't have to worry about it. It has alarms that I can set if it gets too high or too low. Lights up in the dark. (scares the dog when I light it up at night to see the temps. It makes a beep when you press the light button)

Brother-in-law calls it a trash can. He doesn't mind eating some of the trash that comes out of it though.
