Question ET-732 Probe Question.. Anyone Try.....

....high-temp RTV sealant around the opening in the probe, where the crimp is ? I've read that this the weak link with the probes as far as moisture goes ? I just recieved mine from Amazon yesterday. I thought I might clean the probes up with alcohol and add a little around the openings to seal them up. I have a tube in the garage so..

It's good up 600F so I wouldn't think it would be a problem.. ??

You guys that have the 732.. What do you think ?

Worth a shot ?

I use heat shrink tubing at the junction.
Works great on probes of all brands.
Strengthens and water proofs very well.

I'm guessing you haven't had any problems with heat then. Where did you buy your tubing ? I guess I can check the local box store and read the package for specs.

No problems at all.
Readily available at Big Boxes, auto suppliers, etc.

Works great for me.
