Thought I would share a rub I concocted today with some franks red hot seasoning blend

Going to try this tomorrow on some St Louis ribs , what do you all think?

Franks has a lot of salt so this was about the right salt ratio for me , it has a lot of heat too. FYI this is a dry blend from franks that can be found at sams Costco etc.

1/2 cup of franks red hot seasoning blend
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2T garlic powder
2T black pepper
1T chili powder
1t ground rosemary
1t ground ginger
2t ground mustard
1t five spice

Interesting, didn't know they made a seasoning. Ler us know how you like it. I might try somthing like that as well.

Love Frank’s for buffalo wings. Will have to be on the lookout for the blend.

Just my opinion from making rubs similar to this so take it as free advise!
I would only add 2 tbs of each of the sugars
cut the 5 spice down to 1/2 tsp
Up the ginger and mustard to a tbs each
If the Franks blend is hot you probably don't need more than 1 tbs of black pepper.

Have fun and let us know what you decided on and the results.

Rob's advise seems right. But overall sounds like a good pork or chicken rub.

Please let us know how it turns out

Nice work and good luck
