Default CyberCook - App for the BBQ Guru CyberQ

A good buddy of mine has finally put on the Apple App store, a program that is to be used with the CyberQ. He has spent almost a year in development, and with my use and input, has developed a very useful cooking tool!.. it's only about $10, and is worth looking at. Please take a few minutes to check it out.

This post does belong in the Competition section, because the app is meant to be used for a contest. It's tracking, alarms, recording, etc. can be used for more consistent cooks.

Looks great and I'd definitely buy it if I could use it on my IPhone. Any plans for developing it for this platform?

I'll check with him. To be honest, with the features, display, etc. It'll work best with a bigger screen.

I guess I'll pull out the IPad and update it to IOS 7.0 so I can get the program. I'm sure my neighbors will be happy that I'll have an alarm next to me so they don't have to shake me out of my slumber to make the one on the unit quit.

Thanks for the heads up.

Another great feature I had him add to it, was to have an alarm on the Ipad incase the CyberQ looses power.. so, if you have lost power for 3 minutes, the alarm goes off. Works great at a contest with iffy power. You still have Ipad battery power. The alarm does sound like a sinking battleship, you will wake up!!!

I'll test it out on my practice cook this weekend and leave my impressions. It looks great and the alarm feature alone is worth the price for me. At my last comp the power was iffy and luckily I was close to my site the few times the generator fuse popped or it ran out of gas.

hey... I've used it all last season (except King of the Smoker) it works great, and I don't get a dime for the sales.. so how's that for feedback? :) What detailed questions do you have that you'd want feedback for?

besides, really, it's only $9.99.. how many times have we all bought a rub or sauce for around that much just to try, and when we didn't like it, oh well, no big loss. Not much of a gamble here.
