I have lurked around a long time but not posted much. I kinda visit this place in spells.

I would not consider myself a pit master, but I have cooked a lot of meals. Love to cook, discuss, and learn about food.

My grills/smoker at the moment are a rectangular PK, and Weber 22" kettle.

I have a 500 gallon Franklin style stick burner in progress. I started out in fabrication right after graduating high school (1986), progressed to machining, and have worked in some form of manufacturing almost all my life.

Lots of good info and nice people here. I wish it would finally cool off so I can get back to welding!

Welcome to the forum. Good luck with your build. Hope you take pics when you finish!

Thanks! I am just copying Aaron Franklin's design, but using railroad spikes instead of horshoes for handle hardware, and putting very large spoked wheels made from rings of big pipe ala antique locomotive.

Not going with a trailer for this one. If I decide I want a trailer rig, I will just build another one.

Welocme to the asylum!

Finally, please review our rules! They are pretty straight forward, but looking at them up front may help to eliminate problems later :-D
