Roll Call. Inside 30 days. 4 State BBQ Challenge / Downstream Casino

This wanna-be, money donating, white-trash, good-time havin, rag-tag of a so called BBQ team will be there (with bells on and possibly painted toe nails). :)

Sorry have another contest were headed to. Enjoy and wish everyone the best of luck.

Anyone know if this is a state championship? We'll be there, just hate cooking in a non-qualifier.

Received this today, fyi;
Jeff,
I received some information today proving I had received some misinformation previously. Unfortunately our proclamation was denied because we are not a non profit organization. We are hoping to hit 50 teams by Friday. Right now we have 12 to go to become a qualifier.

Thanks,
Katherine

MoKan is heading to Windsor, MO, sorry!

Isn't this a first-year contest? So they only need 15 to be qualifier, right?

Must have a governor's proclamation to be a qualifier unless the number of four meat cooking teams is 50 or more. 2nd year and beyond 25 and guv's proclamation. Anyone cook-off with 50 or more AND 4 meats turned in by all entrants, no proclamation.

That's the way I understand the rules. If anyone knows differently, please set me straight.

Katherine says she has 38 teams, but I bet that number is something less come Friday. I hope not and that it bumps over 50.

DanD BBQ will be there. Looking forward to a BBQ and gambling weekend... Too bad it is not a state championship, but we will have a blast anyway!
Good luck to all,
