My PBC is being delivered today per FEdEX tracking. I too think it would be cool to have the Brethren plaque. We'll see in a few hours. Weather is to be perfect this weekend for patio cooking in Amarillo. Amen.

PBC arrived on my doorstep. I got home to find it on the porch five minutes after receiving FedEx email. Noticed there were pretty good dings on the exterior packaging. There is a dent in the barrel. Everything else was in good shape. I have sent photos of dented barrel and the exterior of the packaging to Noah Glanville. I was really hoping to test drive the PBC this weekend. Really wish they would just send a mint condition barrel as everything else is fine.

That sure looks nice. I can't really afford or store another cooker right now. But, that is a nice looking one for sure

That's awesome, if I were to get one I would definitely want one with the Brethren branding. It's also very cool that the Mods got one and it's kind of ironic since they've been working overtime lately in all the PBC threads.

Let's do the mods a big favor and start bashing FEC's!

Sounds like that is damage from FedEx. I highly doubt Noah would knowingly send out a pit in such shabby shape. Hopefully he will get you fixed up and will have a talk with his shippers.

Yup I'd say Fed Ex for sure, they like to throw things around a bit although UPS is worst.

Thumbs up

I was just really "stoked" about using the PBC this weekend. I even did something I had not done in many years, bought a bag of Kingsford charcoal. No doubt it was done in shipping in my mind. But there are much much worse things in life than a dented barrel. Much worse.

Good on you Poobah.

Absolutely true. Thankfully he's under the care of a great physician.

You are right, I misread your comment, a simple word can change the meaning so much. I should have known what you meant.

I do not have a UDS, probably never will, so have no comment, and I did not make a comparison.

I am shocked, would never have guessed that you did not have a UDS.

and im not sure what you mean by truth vs incentive, or what/if your insinuating, but my first impression is .

Phil, I am not even sure why I said that. I need to think before I comment. I am sorry.

and BTW, I know how to use an egg.

My comment was not directed toward you, I have no doubt you can cook anything on any cooker. What I was saying, if someone/anyone did not use the BGE correctly it would be easy to screw up a chicken. That would be true of any cooker.
This is your house and you have been kind enough to invite me in and allow me to hang around. I say some stupid things that come out wrong or should never be said to start with.

I hope you can accept my apology.
