This is the first annual bbq cook off at the Hopkins County Fall Festival. I was told by the organizer that this will be a trial run, if it;s successful they will include it every year the week before the "world famous" Hopkins County Stew Cookoff.
I'm asking anyone that can to please come to Sulphur Springs, TX and enter this event. It's standard IBCA rules and the entry is $75 plus either, one brisket or one slab of spares.
The date is Sept. 12 and 13th. I know it's short notice but the organizer just finished finalizing everything Thursday.
I have entry forms that I can email you and I'll try to answer any questions I can such as directions and what not.
