Default Chuckies, Fatties, & Tri-Tip

Smoked my first chuckies Saturday!! Man what a treat those are. Also did my first tri-tips. I am hooked on both. Of course had to throw on some fatties which are part of breakfast today!

Hey Pat,

I'd say you got the BDS figured out. Everything looks great. Before I realized how much faster drums cook, I almost missed the window on the first load of tri-tip in did in my drum. When I finally got around to sticking them they were something like 118°.

Thanks Wayne! I wasn't sure how long the tips would take so I probed it right from the start. In all I think they took about 45 minutes to 1 hour at 240*. You just gotta love the drum and the magic it produces!!

Pat,

Awesome pics! I'm sure it tasted as good as it looks! Good thing you did it yesterday.

(For the rest of you, it's snowing and the wind is expected to pick up to over 30 mph with near white-out conditions.)
