weber ?
I have been thinking about getting a Weber 22 vs 26 , other than space and extra fuel to heat the space do they cook the same?

Are you asking about a 22 vs 26 inch kettle? I would say, other than the real estate, they should be about the same.
Still the same good products and customer service! I don't think they make a 26" wsm so am assuming its the grills you're speaking of Personally LOVE all our Weber products!

I had cooked on a 22.5 for ever then got a 26.75 OGT about a year ago. I have the Craycort CI grates. They do cook about the same but if you can afford it go with the 26.75; it's not just the cooking real estate, the bigger cooker gives you a lot more flexibility for long indirect cooks. For example it has the room to run a minion/snake around the perimeter to get +12 hours cooking plus room for a couple of briskets or butts, spatchcocked turkey or a few racks of ribs. I was a little concerned that it was to big for smaller cooks but I can just place charcoal under 1/4 or 1/2 of the Craycort for a few burgers or a couple of steaks without any problem. As you can probably tell, I like mine!

I'd own a 26" if I could afford it. However, I am happy with both my 22's and I can use both at the same time if I need to.

I have both and use both. The 26 is great for real estate and for indirect cooks. They both cook the same to me but if I had to choose one I would naturally go with the 26.

Sounds similar to the 18.5 vs. 22.5 comparison. I have those two, and find that cooking on either one is the same, but with more room for more food, or for a bigger indirect cook.

Yep another vote for the 26. I always fall towards options when faced with a decision and the 26 adds more options than just real estate as the others have already pointed out.

Sounds like everyone agrees the 26 is a cooking machine just like its little brother.

I have two 22.5" and a 26". The 26" is very nice, it doesn't seem to take much more fuel really. For small cooks you just put all the charcoal off on one side and cook above it, you don't have to fill it up with charcoal every time. The 26" is a lot larger than a 22", even though it doesn't sound like much, 40% more cooking space when you compare the numbers. As others mentioned, it gives you a lot more options when cooking indirect.
I love my 26".

if you only have $$/room for one, go for the 26'er, otherwise, get both.
