2 cans pork and beans, two cans chili beans ,or pintos, and 1 can black beans. Dice a small yellow onion and add 2 cans of rotel, drained. Cook them on the smoker for flavor ,or in the oven until they are bubbling. Maybe some bacon bits on top , cuz everything is better with bacon.

Add a little (or no) sweetness to your usual baked bean recipe.

How much molasses and/or sugar is in the recipe you normally use? Or are you talking about canned beans like Bush's?

Try any of the recipes out there without the sugar and what do you think? The flavor will be different, so you might have to substitue something, but just start with one recipe and tweak it.

Post one and we'll help modify it if you want.

I like to start with dry beans, pintos are my favorite. I soak them in water overnight, drain, add beef or chicken stock and simmer all day with ham or beef, onions, garlic, a cayenne pepper, thyme, basil, oregano, a bay leaf. When the beans are tender I add salt and pepper to taste.
I agree with Hoss... a lotta meat is good too.
