Default Old Virginia Breakfast Spare Ribs Recipe

Here is a recipe that was published in 1879 but goes back much further than that. It's from Marion Cabell Tyree's book Housekeeping in Old Virginia published in 1879.

Yeah, boiling ribs is an "old school" Southern thang. Get over it.

Thanks for sharing. I'm from New England and boiled dishes are quite common there.

Put butter on your ribs and have them for breakfast.

They knew how to live back then.
