Hey all I am looking for some recommendations on a dual probe thermometer under 40$ any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks

i am not exactly sure how cheap you can find them, but i really like my maverick ET-73. i think i paid around $45, but it is well worth the money imo.

Can you use both probes to monitor the temp of the cooking chamber?

I've got a BBC Offset and I'd like to keep an eye on how much warmer the firebox end is than the smokestack end.

BBQGrail has a great post on his blog about one that addresses my biggest beefs with the common Maverick ET-73 including temperature probes that fail every 10 cooks or so and occasional limited range on the wireless function. Spending the extra $20 might pay off in a few months with this one: HERE.

I was trying to stay away from wireless to hopefully put the extra money into a better wired one. What I was thinking was to get 2 thermoworks wired thermos for 40$ But I am still open for options.
