guys, thanks for the great pics. I thought I had a pretty good smoke turnout but I now know that I have alot more work to do. I was getting the "bluish" smoke but not quite there yet. Still more white than blue.

Here's three shots of my pit just after adding fuel.

The first or second shot is basically the view from the kitchen window. Kinda the worst case scenario. The third shot is from behind the pit. Couldn't get a shot from the front of the pit cause it was straight into the sun.

Now, all three of these pics were shot in less than 1 minute elapsed time. When I got back to the first location it still looked the same as the first shot. Cleared up nicely in a couple of minutes though.

Just wanted to post these to remind ya to know your background.

Yup, seem's that way. I spends my week nites in NLR, my weekdays in Jaxonville, and most'a my weekends in Hot Springs with the pit and the Financee.

And BTW, I remember the shack sauce thread.

I guess a Financee is a pretty accurate description!

White smoke, blue smoke.
Much smoke, few smoke.

Dr. Seuss Mod.

Blue and "few" (few visible) is where we want to be, right?
