It's not a Big Green Egg. It's a clay Kamado. Possibly a decent buy if it is in good shape but lots of guys have bought those for under $100. It would be fine for low temp cooks but won't hold up to higher temps.

I'm gonna Email him and let him know it's not a BGE. I'm not sure how to tell the difference being I've never seen one in person can you tell me something to point out to the seller? Thanks

I'm no expert but it looks like the old style BGE to me with the wood from the handle missing. Has the scissor hinges and I think I see the mold line on the top.

If the inside is there, cracked or not...That's a GREAT deal...You can cook anything on that...You dont need a top you can use an old tile or piece of wood to block the air flow...Get a $25 Weber grate and your on your way...I'd be all over that like a fat kid on a sandwich...Go get it...

Edit...I know its not a BGE...Its an Imperial Kamado...I've had one for the last 10 years and it cooks great...

Throw that low ball out on the phone before you waste the time and guage it from there.

It looks like an old BGE to me. I had a mini that had the same type of handle and scissor hinge. It's hard to tell, but it looks like a small BGE, which doesn't hold much and the charcoal is too close to the food, so your cooking options are somewhat limited. I wouldn't go over $50 for it. Although it's missing the vent cap, you can get creative and fabricate a cap or find something to use as a cap. Good luck.
