Here are a few better pics on how its attached. Its very sturdy, and does not sag at all when extended out. Cant wait to cook ribs at the lake!

I think Im going to take that advice, I can put a towel between the pieces and put them in my truck box, or on the camper floor. Better safe than sorry!
