Default Found Tri Tip in DFW area

Looking through he flyers in my mailbox and on the Sprouts ad they have Tri Tip 5.99/lb this week. Went by the store (Frisco location) and they had several out. Only place I've ever seen them.

Thanks for the heads up. There's a Sprouts in Plano near me (Coit & Legacy). I'll hit them up tomorrow to see if they have any.

I didn't buy one actually. Cheapest they had was 15 bucks and I've already got meals planned out for a few days but I'm gonna look more into how to cook it and probably try one next week.

Just make sure there is good marbling in the meat, that is what will make a good cut.

I have seen them at HEB(a TX grocer for those who do not know) and at Central Market.
Not sure where you live up there, but Central Market in Austin has an INCREDIBLE meat case.

Other side of the hill? 300 miles! First, I put spice on the tri-tip. Then, I put it into the smoker untill it hits 135 internal temp. Next, I take it out and tent it loosely with foil and let it rest for about 15 minutes. Finally, I put it on a hot grill and sear both sides.
