After waiting 3 months for my new Lone Star Grillz offset, it finally arrived this morning. But looks like the shipping company dropped it or something. Upon inspecting the crate, I noticed the wheels were crooked. So I had to refuse the shipment. The frame was split.

I had a large gathering at the house planned this Saturday, then 4th of July, all down the tubes.

Now the pit is on its way back to Texas, and who knows when it will be sent back.

Omg man that sucks! I can’t imagine after waiting so long to get it and it looks like that. I’d be kissed for sure. Maybe lone star can fix it and expedite it back out

Oh wow, what a bummer! Hopefully they can get you a new pit headed out soon, and maybe with a different shipper!

Thanks, but I’ll get by. I have a few cookers, was just planning on using this bad boy. I’ve been obsessing about it since March. This just took the wind out of my sails in a major way.
 
That sucks! I can't imagine the forklift operator was not aware of the damage as soon as it happened. I'm waiting for mine too and crossing my fingers.

Yeah, make sure not to sign anything before you inspect everything.
 
Yeah that sucks big time and I’m sure you are disappointed, as I would be...but things could be a lot worse my friend. Hopefully lsg gets you to the front of the line and you get your pit ASAP

Wow, sorry to hear that. Major bummer. Were there obvious signs of damage to the shipping crate?
 
Major bummer!

By nearly all accounts LSG has great customer service and is a very reputable pit builder and company. I’d guess they do everything possible to get you a new smoker quickly.

They leave the top half open. So it’s easy to peek down in there to see if everything is ok. It was easy to spot as soon as I looked down into it. I saw the wheels under the firebox weren’t straight.
 
So sorry to hear about this, but I'm sure LSG will make it right.
