Giving these a run this weekend for my old high school's baseball team, I trust this gang of 15-18 year olds and their parents will approve!

Think I might make them on Friday night to let the flavors meld together, then reheat them on the smoker with and add some chopped spare trimmings to add a little smokiness to the flavor.
Thanks guys. Please let me know what you think. Also, feel free to leave a

John, these were fantastic. Very well received by the group I cooked for, and, as importantly, by my wifey! I added some meat from leftover spares from a couple of weekends ago, and sprinkled with a light dusting of Plowboys Yardbird rub before baking. Delicious! We also observed the heat from the Tiger sauce seemed to intensify a bit on days 2 and 3 of leftovers -- I like it!

Big thumbs up on this recipe!

I made these this weekend as well. They were great! I couldnt find the Tiger hot sauce so I used Tabasco. Still had a nice kick to them. I also added about a pound of bacon. I should have halved the recipe, but now I have plenty of leftover for this coming week.

Thanks for the recipe!

Good looking Recipe...I've had Ranch Style beans on the plate since I was a kid. They have been a favorite in Santa Maria BBQ county for years.

I'm going to copy this - thanks for sharing!

Cool Beans! That's an excellent bean recipe. Ranch beans are one of my favorites because they have so much flavor. Thanks for sharing!

Made these over the weekend and they were pretty good. My mistake was not using Bush's baked beans and using an unknown can. I also didnt add any Tiger or Hot sauce of any kind. The reason I did that was I wanted to taste the beans and how they stood out without the heat. Its easy to just add the heat. Heres the kicker though. If I were to make these beans again I would do it ahead of time and then let it cool in a fridge for a day. I think the beans tasted way better the next day than the same day. They were a little runny and having it sit in the fridge for a day thickened them up quite a bit.

I really enjoyed them without any heat as well. Most people I serve to arent big fans of hot products. These beans were nice and sweet but still had that bold taste. I liked the ranch style beans added to the mix for sure. Next time I will use Bush's for sure.

Thanks John!!

I'm giving this one a try for tomorrow's dinner along with pulled pork sammiches and some home made coleslaw. I tried Wampus' baked beans last time and they were a huge hit, but I'm excited to try these because the ingredients list looks great and its not quite as complicated to make...

I am cooking them right now. I had some left over brisket meat that I chopped up and threw in. I bought some Ranch Style beans with jalapeno slices and they are over the top good. They Beans are on my Egg in a Cast iron pot. My Weber Kettle has a party pack of wings and my UDS has 2 racks of beef ribs. Oh, the egg also has Habanero and Jalapeno ABTS. I will post pics later.

Busy day cooking.

I love John's (Patiodaddio) beans. Heck, I even through in a half can of Fosters (Australian for Beer) to thin it up after it has been smoking for awwhile... I try to keep the temp about 250-275 so I don't have to put a lid on the CI pot. Picks up some great smoke flavor.

That's good to know... I'm planning on putting them in a cast iron dutch oven and I'll toss them on the drum after the butt comes off. I also like the idea of adding the beer... How long do you let them cook on the smoker?
