It's cause they start early.

last one I was at, I was helping mind a pit starting at 1:00am, and that was after a hard night of trying to put away the kegs at Marty's house.

By 4pm the next day (Saturday) I was ready for it to be over with.

There was an incident at the hotel, involving lost cheese, a suit case full of BBQ sauce, three drunk Brethren, one rather cute night receptionist, a silent but deadly carpet bombing incident, lobster, bacon and some wandering in the hotel.

It was better that you were not there.

I took care of my keg, the rest of you slacked off on yours.

Still can't figure out why everyone was talking so loud and slow to me the next morning.

Whoa there big fella'! There was no keg slacking here. I had at least 5 red cups of beer in the area that were mine. Problem was I couldn't seem to find them....

I would love to attend however I have volunteered to help at a CBBQA class in Sacramento on the 17th. BBQPD always is surrounded by a party. If something happens and the class does not need me--I will be there ---

I'll be doing more than just tri-tip chili, just haven't decided yet, but for sure will be doing my Jamaican Jerk chicken wings .
