What's the deadline for this burger throwdown? 'Cuz I'm wanting to enter a burger but I can't cook it till this weekend.

Sorry but all entrees before and after mine have been DQ'd (that's the only chance I'll have to win one)

No set-up or prep pic's, just the money shot. Lamb burger with homemade tetziki sauce, Bush's grillin' beans (bourbon brown sugar), and grilled chipotle spiced pineapple spears.

You think so? I had the only entry in the Pork Chop Master Cut Throw Down and I didn't win. Anything is possible in Biggie's universe. I didn't even get a farking Golden Goose Egg.

all i can think of here is Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory ... BUT I WANT A GOOSE THAT LAYS A GOLDEN EGG NOOOOOOOOOOOW

If you want all the details, I posted them in Qtalk but, I'll give you the rundown. When I read the description of what that Chris guy considered acceptable for this round, the only words I kept having stick in my brain were "in a bun" in, not on, not between, so I figured whatever I did, it better be in the bun. So, naturally I immediately thought of making a Double Chorizo Juicy Lucy Wellington style with Italian herb & Muchroom Mild Cheddar along with Peppadew Fruit Meunster Cheeses.
Enjoy the pictorial!

To say this was a truly epic burger would be an understatement. A long time ago I heard that you knew a burger was a good burger when you didn't need to put any condiments on it at all. I never really understood that statement until today. After the first bite, It was so delicious, so tasty, I didn't want anything else but that. The dough sucked up the juices as it cooked but, wasn't soppy. The best part, everything stays within the dough so there is surprisingly little mess. No condiments needed, minimal mess, mass amounts of meat, tons of cheese, yeah, this is what I think of when I think Ultimate Burger.

Thanks for looking!

All of the shots look good Bob. I gotta admit, that first sliced shot was incredible, even though the color on the bun didn't match.

Yes, that stupid color bugs me enough that I chose not to use that shot. I know as a semi-serious blogger, I am supposed to have a light box, tripod, soft light, remote bounceable flash etc...but, I would rather cook honestly.

The burger looks awesome Bob. As usual you've taken the standard california cheese burger to another level. If I were to try and bake my own roll without a recipe, i'm sure it would not turn out edible. Very nice!
