I don't use my firepit for cooking often enough. I need to try some chili and jambalaya on it this fall.
I wouldn't have thought to do ribs, but this may be something I do in the future. Thanks for the idea.

My pulse rate dropped a few notches reading through your post, Jeanie. Will definitely have to try ribs on the open pit when I go camping, just not at the higher elevation spots.

Another inspiring cook, beautiful ribs! And what a peaceful setting. Down here the days are starting to get a little shorter and the evenings are cooling down so I'm really looking forward to firing up my Santa Maria ranch grill - gonna have to try some old school spares.
