Default Taco Soup recipe

Made a good soup/stew this past week to snack on the whole week.

Taco Soup

3 cans chopped stewed tomatoes
1 can rotel
1 can ranch style beans
1 can whole kernal corn
2 cans water
1 pkg taco seasoning
1 pkg dry ranch dressing mix
1 lb ground sirloin, cooked and well drained

Afer cooking the ground sirloin, empty all ingreadients into a 12qt dutch oven or large crockpot. Simmer until warm.

makes about 12 cups. Serving size is 1 cup.(for those that are dieting.)

I added some chili powder and ground chili pepper to taste. Also add hot sauce to individual servings.

This is a diet friendly recipe also. I've crumbled tortilla chips, crackers & cornbread on top of my servings, and each one came out great.

We make the same thing but add a can of black beans (drain em, that brine is nasty)

I think I know what I am having for lunch tomorrow, and it won't be PB&J.

I agree - looks REAL good. But Im going to wait till it gets cold again before I make it. We are having a minor warm snap here in VA and Im not complaining at all. But I love to make crotch pot meals in the winter.

Thanks for the recipe, Ty.
