Default My Grill and Smoker are covered in Snow

I live in Maryland, and over the weekend we got 33 inches of snow. For the Superbowl, I had planned on doing some ribs. Well I did the ribs in the oven and they came out pretty good. It just was not BBQ. We are about to get hit with another foot or more of snow over the next 24 hours. I wish spring was here. I have got the itch to do some smoking.

That's how i do. Dig a hole to your pit, and fire it up. The heat will also cause cool melting patterns in the snow around it.

I guess that is one drawback to having such a great, well insulated smoker! lol

I know the feeling here in Minnesnowta. Somewhere in there are 2 WSM's, 2 Weber kettles and my gasser. Need a little thaw before any low and slow smokin' here!

Same boat, but I had no electricity the last 4 days! I had no choice but to grill and smoke -- of course I'd have done it if the power was on:

There is now enough snow here to provide an acceptible wind shield from my smoker.

It's all a matter of priority. When a storm comes, I shovel my BBQ area before the driveway gets done....

I used to live in PA north of phila. Don't miss the snow at all. I did always have a path to the cooker though.

It seems it has been snowing here every couple of days. It melts off then it snows again. I am ready for summer.
