Default Finally went to Restaurant Depot!

Restaurant Depot is my new favorite place. Their meat selection is off the charts! I got chicken breast for 1.29 a pound(50 pound case), choice brisket for 2.75, choice tri-tip for for 4.25(22 pound package), and lots of other stuff. I got a picture of the tri-tip after they were vacuum sealed. The tri-tip were the biggest I've seen around here too. The one that's not wrapped is dinner tonight. By the way, I have no clue who the lunatic in the picture is ;-)

Man, you went all out! Those tri-tips are HUGE!

If only RD had a location in Charleston... or even S.C., for that matter!!

I was blown away when I saw the meat section, I would probably drive 2 hours to get to one. Hopefully one will pop up near you one day :-)

Now, those are what tri-tips are supposed to look like.

I went to our local one here in Fort Worth last week for the first time on my KCBS membership. Got the day pass with zero problem. Holy carp. RD is my new favorite place to buy meat. It's so worth the KCBS membership...

I live in Athens, GA.. I see there is a RD about 45-50 min from here in Norcross, GA.. Is it worth me driving that far? I have a SAMs, Kroger, Publix, and a few local small grocery stores here in Athens. I see there is 1 in Norcross, and 1 in Atlanta!

Absolutely worth the drive!! I'll repeat, Asolutely worth the drive!!! I drove 45-50 minutes to get to the store closest to me. Bring an ice chest for the drive home and a jacket. It's very cold where all the meat and cold stuff is. a KCBS membership will get you in.

I go to the one in Norcross all the time ~ I seldom use my Costco membership for meat. I got the day pass with my KCBS membership and they didn't date it so I've been using it for months. Give it a shot, I don't believe you will be disappointed.

And they have Royal Oak lump 17+ lbs. for 10.88 ~ not a bad price.

Would you? The closest one to me is an hour away. I've always wanted to go but it just seems like such a pain in the *ss to drive that far (plus the $11.00 in tolls farkin NJ loves to collect for traveling that route)......

It's not something I would do often but I'm sure I would. Then again, I commute an hour to and from work everyday so I'm used to the driving far. When you consider that you're buying in bulk you will save money....not like Costco where often you aren't actually saving much, if any. If you buy the ribeye roasts you could pay almost half the price you would in other places. Not to mention the meat quality is excellent too. With your commute you might not save as much money but I personally think anyone that enjoys BBQ should see the place. Maybe stop by the next time you end up in that area.

RD is my new favorite "kid in a candy store" place to shop. Next time I will take a hat & gloves, not just a jacket for the cold side.
