Default Keeping Fatties Warm

I'm working Saturday and there is a retirement party that afternoon for one of my buddies at the local watering hole. Kind of a pot-luck thing, folks are bringing whatever.

I know fatties get eaten fast but I may have to drop my stuff off a little early and show up later. Has anyone kept them warm in a slow cooker? Could I could leave them wrapped in foil, and slice later? I have a 6 qt Nesco with the variable range going as low as 150°. Someone would be around to rotate them and I could slice when serving.

Sheesh, that dawned on me while I was in the shower. I have some fire bricks I can wrap in foil and heat up and use in the cooler too.

I had been thinking of taking ham-n-beans so I had a crock pot on my mind.

If it was me I wouldnt try to hold them warm. I'd bring em over whole and refrigerated, slice and nuke for a couple minutes when ready to serve. .02

This is why I need one of those turkey roasters. I've seen baked potatoes wrapped in foil kept hot, so I'm sure fatties would keep nice and toasty.
