Italian Beef

I've been looking for a hands down winner for an Italian beef sandwich recipe that I can cook on my pit. All of the ones that I have found are crock pot recipes. I have had some trouble translating crock pot into smoker. The languages are not always compatible. Pehaps some of the Chicago brethren can offer some assistance.
