Default Bubb Grill discussion

Gentlemen .......

I have seen some comments on the pro's and con's of the BUBBA smokers. some have felt that the Lang smokers had larger fireboxes. The current Bubba's have been enlarged by 20% and according to Lonni Smith, might be a bit of overkill The Lang firebox seems to be a little on the small side for the Lang 48 and Lang 60. They are 20"x20" x ? Most of the Gator's, Klose's, Pits by JJ, etc. ,are around 24x24x24.

I'll do more checking.....

Haven't seen a problem with the temperature range and fire management on the Lang smokers.

Are you trying to find a bigger firebox?

[48 = 18"; 60 = 20"; 84 = 24"]

Gator fire boxes are a little larger, but I believe that's to compensate for insulation?

Edit: Scratch that. Was thinking about Jambo Pits.

I have a Lang and love it. I've cooked on many of Lonnie's 250R's and loved them as well. Lonnie makes a darned fine smoker, IMHO.

My competition daze are probably behind me now; I pretty much cook for family, friends, and frankly the peace and solitude I get from smokin' on an offset...
