It's very much a guitar brethren bash.
It all started on a forum about 17-18 years ago.
We met up with about 10 members in Cologne, Germany 15 years ago for the first time. These days, 3-4 times a year we get together with a few for a night out of meat and beer.
In 2015 we moved to our previous house with a big garage and had the space to host an 'Ampfest'. It started with just 6 people attending and has grown since. We've had people from France, Germany, Netherlands, UK, Spain, Norway, Italy, USA.
