Old Skool Sausage tools!
I scored an old cast iron Enterprise #32 Meat Chopper off CL. It has the plate with 1/2" holes and its missing the blade, but other than some surface rust its in pretty decent shape and should clean up nicely.
$20! They still make them! Made in the USA and of American cast iron, this meat grinder will certainly provide many years of service. The unit clamps to the edge of a table or board for quick setup, tear-down & cleanup of your sausage making work area. The hopper opening is 4-1/4" x 5-1/4". The plate is a #32 plate (3-15/16" dia). Possibly the oldest name in USA-made sausage stuffers and grinders would be Enterprise Manufacturing, now known as Chop-Rite. There are still Enterprise stuffers and grinders in use today, some over 100 years old! They are built to last and are made of cast iron and other quality materials from the original designs. Bought in the mid-1900's, the Enterprise Manufacturing company was renamed to Chop-Rite Mfg. In 1991 new owners purchased Chop-Rite Mfg and is now known as Chop-Rite Two, Inc. Using the same design as the original Enterprise stuffers and grinders, parts are interchangeable with the older equipment. http://www.chop-rite.com/ It will be a great companion to my Enterprise Stuffer!

Thanks for the post and info. Just checked out their website and besides having old school equipment, they also have a daily recipe. The only thing that scares me is that you have to email or call for prices. This makes me think this is going to be expensive merchandise.

I'm pretty sure Allied Kenco, Sausage Source etc. have stainless steel replacements that will fit if the originals are too spendy. When I was refurbishing my Enterprise Stuffer, I was having a difficult time removing the gears, and I gave Chop-Rite a call and a technician talked me through it and gave me a few tips to boot!

The plates and cutters are standard sizes. Most sausage equipment vendor's have them. Some of the chinese stuff is not standard.
Very nice stuffer. |

I have the same model and use it regularly for small grinds. Works like a charm. As written on the side, these were tinned when they were new. Might want to consider this when cleaning it for use. Mine was a hand me down from my dad who got it from his dad and somewhere along that line the tin was completely removed. After cleaning mine I rub it with mineral oil and store it wrapped in a towel that is now mostly soaked in oil.
