Default Weber Homer Simpson model?

Saw this on CL - says it's a Weber 10th anniversary Homer Simpson edition kettle - anyone ever heard of this?

Yes. Those are quite rare theses days. I've seen them go for Big $$ in new condition. There is a smokey joe version on e-bay, new, and the the guy wants $800.00. Thats the extreme end but if you can get it for $30 I would Grab it quick.

Weber made a 10th anniversary edition Homer Simpson

Here is a Amazon link to the One-Touch Gold model which looks like the one you are considering.
http://www.amazon.com/Weber-758098-O.../dp/B00005JD3A

It is a steal at that price.

Would you believe that Amazon was clearancing those a 5 or 6 years ago for $45 on the 22.5" and $15 for the Smokey Joe? I guess I should have bought a few....

That is like the holy grail of Weber kettles! Personally I find them repulsive and fugly, but since I asked the same question a few years back on another site and got hipped to their uniqueness, that thing would be in my backyard waiting for the weather to warm up and me to spiff it up!

Jump on it NOW!!
