Hey all,

Tonight I was craving some hot wings but FRIED:hungry: I just keep wings simple:

1. Franks Red Hot
2. Butter
3. Wings
4. My Lodge DO
5. Oil for frying
6. S&P for the wings (optional) but I like it

Placed my DO, filled it with oil, on my DCS gasser and let it heat up.

Salt and peppered the wings

Good enough and ready to put the wings in

Wings getting happy in the DO

Got the sauce going on the side burner. Just butter and Franks

Getting two bowls ready. One for the fried wings to go in and one to toss the sauce in.

First batch is ready. Nice golden brown.

Sauce is also ready. I just eyeball for an off orange color.

Time to toss in sauce!

I just toss the wings and make sure they get coated real well and plate the wings. This avoids the wings getting soggy by being submerged in too much sauce and no matter how long they sit on the plate they still stay crispy. LIKE THE TITLE SAYS JUST HOT WINGS TO NIBBLE ON AND A BEER.

Crispy on the outside but soft and moist on the inside. How I like 'em.

They just came off the bone like gloves coming off your hands!

Hope you enjoyed. I don't watch too much TV but I like these guys. Good Night!

Wow, they look great, nice cook and pics! :thumb:

Very nice looking wings. Fast n Loud fan here too.

Thanks. Not much else worth watching on Discovery or TV anymore with the exception of this show and a very few.

Those wings look good enough to eat, got any leftovers???

Lol thanks. I did three batches about 70 pieces total. Last batch was leftover. There is so much two of us could've ate. Come on over and BYOB!

Franks and butter. It doesn't get any better than that. Add a little celery and blue cheese and voila!

Nice job! I'll bet you rarely eat wings out, as they won't taste as good as yours.

You can say that again. To the point where my friends even quit getting wings because they've gotten used to mine. I finally had to teach a few of them to make their own since they bugged me about making wings, ribs, pulled pork etc all the time.

In St Louis we do "trashed" wings.
Do exactly as you did, then AFTER your final step, toss them back into the oil and fry the sauce onto the wings.
Serve with sauce and blue cheese both on the side.

Looks like I'm ready to get trashed then. That's sounds good and I'm up for trying new things. Thanks for the tip.
