Default Sometimes it's the little things...

I'll be the first to admit that I get too excited about Weber products. It stems from my desire to eat well and the things I can cook with my various Webers. One annoying thing has been trying to light a few coals in the charcoal chimney. Weber solved that with a mini-chimney.

It's about perfect to light a load of lump for a Smokey Joe or perhaps a few briquettes to start a Minion method fire. I actually cheated in the picture above. I threw a handful of unlit lump under the chimney once I had it started.

And I never ever do dry runs. I roasted some red peppers (79¢/lb!) to make some roasted red pepper dip.

I love my Weber mini chimney. I got it a couple of months ago, and it's perfect for dumping a few lit coals into my UDS. Plus, it's just so darned cute.

Red bells for 79¢/lb?!?! What a great price! I hope you got more than just 3.

I make a dip with them from the peppers, chickpeas, feta cheese and all of the other stuff that would go into hummus. I got about 4 C out of those three peppers.

I can see why you like it. I'm using it again already.

I only got the three. They're very ripe and won't hold long. I've got other stuff to prepare today so I don't have time to deal with them.

Firing up the 18.5 to cook this.

I haven't seen a mini-chimney. That does look handy. I'll have to keep my eye out for one.

i just reversed the wire in the regular chimney and have not had any problems. you can also just turn over the whole chimney to do that. but yes, we do love our toys.
and yes, i don't need one but will probably get one anyway.
