Default split cord of seasoned hickory?

Greetings,

This is my first post. Someone in Providence, RI is selling a cord+ of split hickory on CL. I don't need it all, but I'd be willing to share. Anybody in?

Little Dick

Wow...they are proud of their hickory in Rhode island.

In NC you can get seasoned hickory; split, delivered and stacked for 150 - 200 per cord. Oak is about 25.00/cord cheaper

Of course hickory & oak is everywhere there.

I agree that hickory is expesive in R.I.. The price here is about the same as NC. Earlier this year the timber company that owns the land next to my camp was cutting all the pine trees. I saw them drop 2 big hickory trees and push them off to the side. I went and asked what they were going to do with the hickory and the foreman told me i could have them as all they wanted was the pine. I brought the crew 3 cases of beer the next day just in case he changed his mind. I've got enough now to last several years.

Maybe we should get together on this. I do not have a stick burner, but would like a little Hickory for smoke wood. Send me a PM and we will see what we will see.

Yeah, $250 is a lot, but maybe it's a really good grade?
