I think I may break down and order one in a month or two. While I've always wanted a 50" or so trailer model, in reality this has plenty of space for anything I'm actually going to need. Do wish it was going to be a little cheaper to get it up here but that's the nature of the beast.

Love the photo btw. Looks like it's getting ready for launch...

It is only a $200 deposit, don't over think it because I read that the wait time for the 24 x 36 might be going up to 10 weeks. Join the Facebook Shirley Fabrication Smoker Fan Page. If there was an easy and relatively cheap way of getting one to Europe, I would be all over this smoker. Great pics!

SJB67, you are roughly in my neck of the woods. What did it cost you to get that thing shipped?

Thanks for passing this along. Spent quite a bit of time reviewing his videos, and further confirmed I made the right decision. Now I just need to wait a few more months (not due to Shirley lead times, but due to my own scheduling purposes).

I am assuming I can run this on charcoal with a few wood chunks or is it strictly a stick burner?

I sent my check to Tyler last Friday.
I have a question about the new pit for when I get it.
My previous Lang 60D worked best if I had the nose up about 1/2 bubble. That seemed to give the most even temps front to back and lower to upper grates. I could take it a bit higher but too high and the drippings didn't drain right. The Langs have a "V" channel down the middle but I don't thing the Shirley's have that.
How level does the 24 x 36 SF need to be?

Shirley makes some top notch stuff. If I wanted a reverse flow, I’d buy a Shirley in a second.
