Folks, this thread may may have gotten unintentionally off- track in terms of some of the non-entry photos that have been posted thus far which may confuse newcomers that they may be actual entries, so...

3. To enter your dish in a Throwdown it must first follow all rules defined in this post. To make your entry, please create a post in the Throwdown ENTRY thread for the category that you wish to enter. You must clearly state at the BEGINNING of your post that you intend for your post to be an official entry into the Throwdown, and it must be clear enough that the moderator understands your intention. This can be as simple as saying, "Please accept this as my entry into this Throwdown". Any post that does not state this intent at the beginning of their post, or does not say so in a clear enough manner for the moderator to understand WILL NOT be included in the Voting for that Throwdown.

and:

9. Only one picture from your entry can be used for voting, so please specify which one you want used, otherwise the moderator will choose and the moderators decision is final. You are allowed to enter more than once but only one of your entries can be used in the voting thread (for example if you want to enter a second dish that will replace your first one). You must CLEARLY state which entry is the one you want to go to the vote thread. Otherwise the moderators will choose for you and that decision will be final. If the moderator did not choose the photo/entry you explicitly specified, please send the moderators a PM and we will do our best to correct the issue. Finally, NO collage photos are allowed as entry photos, no exceptions!

For your consideration. Ribeyes with a light dusting of Tony C's followed by a healthy shake of Carne Crosta...

Default the prodigal son returns

Matt, Richard.....thanks for hosting these throwdowns. I haven't participated in awhile, life has gotten in the way of cook threads. hopefully I can get back to cooking more and entering more throwdowns with the aid of my new ............pellet grill!

I know it's crazy. Walmart exclusive Pit Boss classic. 700 sq ft of cooking space, 21 lbs hopper and a searzone

clearanced priced @ $200. this was 100 less than the yellow tag price on the box. of course I took that $100 I saved and headed to Costco. 1 brisket for the fight next week and a nearly 3 lbs bone in prime ribeye

it came with a probe that reads out to the controller, pretty cool. I set the pit temp to 225 and cooked until an internal of 125°

when the steak was to temp I pulled it off to rest and setup the sear zone.

there's a plate on the drip pan

it slides over to expose slots over the firepot

the pit boss flamed up better then I thought it would. this thing is blazes.

sliced and served, it fed 3 people.....I think I could have ate the whole thing tho

bruno got to clean the bone....we wont let him eat them

well it's been fun, cant wait for the next one

polling pic please
